Our 2b KIDS children's ministry (from birth through 5th grade) focuses on the values of the scripture through Bible Study, worship and relationships. The program includes Sunday School Classes, 2b Leaders Camp in the summer, church camp, a children's choir and Kids Night Out. Your child's spiritual growth is important to us!
For 6th Graders through High School Seniors, our youth program provides a safe, nurturing place for teens to focus on becoming faithful followers of Christ. Through Sunday School, youth activities, service projects and church camp, the teens learn how to navigate in their world as Jesus did with purpose and conviction.
This group enjoys exploring faith together using authors like Brian McLaren, Diana Butler Bass, Henri Nouwen, Richard Rohr, and John Claypool as guides. Most in this class are nearing or newly retired.
Our college group gathers around tables each week to enjoy breakfast and to connect with each other. Many of the students are also involved in either our choir or orchestra.
The Connections class is a lively group of septuagenarians (70's) and above. This group which represents a broad spectrum of opinions enjoys digging into various scripture and deep discussions.
The Covenant class enjoys following the Formations Study Guide which is based on major biblical and life themes across the course of a year. These themes align with the sermon topic each week. The group, which ranges in age from mid-50s and up is lead by a group of dedicated instructors.
The Hope class is made up of a vibrant group of women representing all generations. Using the Connections Bible Study series which follows the Revised Common Lectionary, they seek to better understand the Word as it related to the sermon text. Their mission is to care for the congregation and community.
Primarily in their 20's - 40's, the Phase 2 class consists of active young professionals; both singles and married couples, some with children and some without. They enjoy learning about growing their faith as they do life together. They also enjoy having fun together!
The Prodigal members are either in or nearing retirement. They enjoy celebrating life's milestones and sharing lively conversation lead by a rotation group of in-class teachers.
Pyrexia is an inter-generational class that discusses classical books on faith. Class members are encouraged to sign up to lead a lesson based on the book the class is studying. Their meaningful conversations foster great friendships. Together they continually work on various mission projects.
The Visions class is anchored together through monthly fellowships and multiple projects. Using the Formations Study Guide the lessons are based on biblical passages and issued that create meaningful discussions.
Second Voices offers up their voices in praise to God with joy and passion each Sunday in both worship services and is open to any adult who enjoys singing. No audition required!
2b Orchestra is an ensemble made up of advanced student and adult instrumentalists committed to leading in a weekly worship service. The adult orchestra partners with 2b Choir to provide inspirational congregational music each Sunday morning.
Bells Gloria is an inter-generational group which rings on 5 octaves of handbells and handchimes with an emphasis on music for worship. The ensemble plays in worship monthly.
This unique group made up of both experienced and inexperienced people of all ages. They have made hundreds of simple dresses for girls in impoverished countries. Members of the group teach young people how to sew during 2b Leaders Camp which takes place in June.
There are various support groups throughout the year. Al-Anon and the Macular Degeneration support group are just a couple of the important groups of support available.
The hospitality group led by our church hostess Joni Lynch is involved in a variety of events including weekly and special occasion dinners, meals for the homeless, receptions and meals for funerals and more.
Our prayer shawl ministry meets every Wednesday after the fellowship meal to work on shawls. They make, bless and deliver shawls to the sick, hurt and in mourning.
Seniors have their own special day at 2B! Every Tuesday 1:30pm - 4pm we host the Senior Adult Fellowship in our game room. This is a great time for seniors to have fun and fellowship together!
