Out of an abundance of caution with the possible refreezing of the snow and ice, we will not be having any Wednesday night programming or activities. We are moving the Wednesday prayer service that was scheduled for 4:00 PM to Thursday with two opportunities. The first will be at 12:00 and the second will be at 5:15. We will hold these in Grand Hall. And for those who are not able to come or are hesitant to drive, we will be on Facebook Live.

Sick Children's Clinic

In 1961, Second Baptist Church established the Sick Children's Clinic to provide free medical care to children facing financial hardships. The clinic offers non-discriminatory healthcare, ensuring families have access to essential medical services. Volunteer doctors from local clinics and pediatric practices see patients and address their needs, whether it’s providing antibiotics, other medications, or lab work.

“Doctors from local clinics and pediatricians voluntarily see the patients we have at our clinic. Depending on what the child needs—whether it’s an antibiotic, medication, or lab work—we have partnerships in place that allow prescriptions to be filled or lab work orders to be completed at no charge to our patients,” - Jennifer Fornari, Executive Clinical Director.

Services Provided

  • Free Medical Care: No insurance, sliding scale fees, or proof of income required.
  • Volunteer-Based Staff: Doctors and pediatricians donate their time to serve children in need.
  • Partnership Support: Prescriptions and lab work are covered through community partnerships.
