Larry Landusky is originally from Hobbs, NM and started taking piano lessons when he was six years old. By the time he graduated from high school, he distinguished himself in both national and international piano guild assessments, as well as regional piano contests. Larry studied architecture, business, and music while at Texas Tech, and has become known in Lubbock as an accomplished accompanist and performer for many events. Known for his “creative” musical arrangements and accompaniments, Larry is comfortable and accomplished with every style of music, whether classical, popular, blues, country, swing, gospel, or love ballad.
Having played for over 40 years at First Baptist, Lubbock, he found a strong calling to bring his ministry to Second B. Larry joined Second Baptist in April 2010 and became the pianist for Second B in December 2011, and has relished a “second beginning” in his worship at the piano. Larry also finds great ministry opportunities in anything involving construction, whether it be Habitat, mission trips, or various projects at Second B. A New Mexican by birth, Larry graduated from Texas Tech where he met Lucy, who is a lifelong Lubbock resident. They have two children and two grandchildren.
