NOMINATIONS FOR THE VISION AND LEADERSHIP TEAM
ARE OPEN TODAY - SEPTEMBER 27
The Vision and Leadership Team (VLT) at Second Baptist Church envisions the future of the church as defined in existing Vision Statements; empowers and oversees the work of Implementation Teams in addressing these Vision Statements as needed; and acts on behalf of the Congregation in carrying out the ministry and legal duties of the church. Within these duties, the team provides direction and oversight regarding budget, personnel, and other church business matters. It is comprised of six elected individuals and the current chair person of the diaconate. Of the six elected leaders, two new members and an alternate are elected each year and two members rotate off each year. Elected members serve on the VLT for a three-year term. VLT Nominees must
be members of Second Baptist Church for at least two years and exhibit appropriate personal integrity and leadership ability, good reputation in the community, commitment to family, and stewardship of their time, talents, and financial resources on behalf of the church. The final slate of nominees shall not include more than one member per family. Please ask and obtain consent before nominating an individual.
