Taking a Breath
What an extraordinary few months we have had! I shared at our congregational meeting that the weeks between Holy Week and Pentecost were full of beautiful moments of worship and community, connecting and friendships. It has made my first spring with you so wonderful!
As we move into summer, a chance for vacations and maybe a different pace for church programming, we will gather for worship each week, ready for what God will say to us through prayers and songs, spoken words and internal thoughts.
This summer, we will welcome preachers whose voices we have heard before and some who are new to us. This is a chance for us to be alert to how the Spirit is moving, discovering how we are being prepared for saying yes to God’s voice and call, and more. So while I may not be in the pulpit every Sunday, I will be worshiping alongside you, catching my breath while I soak up the Spirit through these proclaimers. It will be a beautiful continuation of God’s presence among us!
