Over the past couple of weeks, the community of Second Baptist lived out the phrase “every member a minister.” Sunday School classes stepping up and in saying, “How can we help?” Deacons organizing teams for setting up and taking down and setting up again tables and chairs for families to honor their loved ones who have died. It was beautiful to watch and even more beautiful to share with my friends and colleagues. Yes! I have indeed bragged on you!
So let’s make this happen all the time! Classes joining one another in ministry. Members calling each other asking for partnering in ministry, all of us moving in the direction of bringing the kingdom of God to Earth.
